Did anyone else think that the ending would have been improved by more showing and less telling? I’m surprised her editor didn’t have her rework that. But that said, I really do like her books.

Moz Absolutely. It was very rushed. It could have been revealed in a much more tantalizing way I think. It was like the author suddenly realised she only had a restricted number of words left in which to explain what happened and tried to get it all down as quickly as possible. The book did not impress me at all.

Peaches Yes! I've read three of her books now and think she veers into summary frequently, less with this book, but the ending felt rushed.
