Pamella Bowen My next book, The Blindness of Odile, is in the works. Set in 1970 Cambridge, England when there were no mobile phones and visiting Americans like Odile Travers had to find a phone box and figure out how many shillings to put in. Sometimes they had to push Button A to be heard by the person they called. Numerous such hurdles to survival in a strange culture confront Odile when she comes to Cambridge hoping to make a big splash in grad school, only to face some hard truths and start a new life. Keep and eye out for the launch in spring of 2021.
