Goodreads asked Rea Frey:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Rea Frey You aren't stuck in a 9 to 5. You can have days and days of productivity and then days and days of contemplation. You can start your day at 6 am or 10 pm. There's never the same day twice in a row, and you are constantly ebbing and flowing with inspiration.

It can get lonely, but I like knowing myself so intimately; knowing the way I work, the way I thrive, the way I self-doubt, and how I always, always meet the deadline.

It's a fulfilling career.
