Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Phoebe MacLeod I'm a great believer in writing about what I know. I set my books locally to where I live, so I can explain the geography easily, and draw on places I've been and things I've done for the rest. So, for example, the resort where Charley meets Ed is based on St. James' Club, Antigua, where I was lucky enough to stay some years ago.

I also use search engines to fill in the gaps where I don't know something, or ask friends
