The narration is very tedious but...if you speed it up to 1.5 it is actually an enjoyable listen.
I was about to give up on the audio version but decided to just speed it up and get it over with when lo and behold, the speed of the narration made all the difference.
Don't give up on the audio version if you get it.

I do think it is awful that many new books are not available as audio downloads because Amazon Audible owns the rights and won't make available to libraries.

I can tell you why... Amazon is the publisher of the audiobook (Brilliance is a subsidiary of Amazon) & they are not making theirs available to libraries. See this article in WashPo: https://www.washingtonpost.com/techno...

This is an old thread, but I still cannot get West with Giraffes electronically for kobo at any library, and I have access to 4 city libraries (Toronto, Miami, Newmarket & my local library).

The audio book through Amazon was only 1.99.

Kindle version is currently free on Amazonprime. Also audio is available on audible. I checked three libraries and none of them have it. Weird.... it's really new Feb 15, 2021 so maybe it's not delivered to libraries yet?

The audio version is available on cd-s now. What I was hoping for, was a large print version, which I didn't get for my book club members, mostly seniors.
