I read about Aubrey Grant and Jun Tanaka in The mystery of the curiosities and again in Southernmost murder, but it still feels like I’m missing the story about how they met and the drama about Matt. Am I missing a book?

Nope, you've read all there is! With Aubrey and Jun, I didn't want to write a book that centered on the meet and greet, but instead an already established relationship, and focus my efforts on how they'd partner up for the mystery. :)
