I absolutely loved Girl in Pieces, as I could certainly relate, but my mom, when I suggested she read the novel to better understand what I was facing, had quite a different view. She believes the novel may have influenced my illness. Do you have any suggestions as to allowing parents to understand the separation between influencing and providing something to relate to?

One thing I love about your books is how real they feel and how they show that sometimes we don’t just magically get better. Do you have any recommendations for books with similar themes/feelings as yours because so far, you’re the only author who I’ve found who can do such an amazing job at tackling these inner conflicts from a different angle than normally done?
