When writing books, how do you keep track of every character? Like what they look like, what they're doing, or what they are going to do?

There are no shortcuts, Liberty. While I'm a Pantser (writing by the seat of my pants--putting interesting characters in difficult situations and writing to find out what happens) as opposed to an Outliner, I do scribble notes as I go to keep track of the very things you mention.

Do you remember giving the talk "Sixteen Hazards of Christian Writing" at the Toronto Christian Writer's Conference in 1987? I took much of that advice to heart (including "don't blame the Holy Spirit for your writing"), and I still have the cassette. So thank you--many years too late.
