Actually it's a USA (tv) series, that is now available on Netflix. I did watch it and I haven't read the book because I think the series has been optioned for a 2nd season and I'm not sure what was/wasn't included in season 1 and may bleed into season 2.

Yes! I thought it to be an excellent casting and tried and true adaptation. The author was a part of creating the show, so her vision was maintained. Check it out!
