I was interested in writing an ongoing series that would span all sorts of people, from beggars and pirates to dukes and lady's companions. When I read about the gin problem in early Georgian England I found the perfect setting.

The latest excerpt in the newsletter nearly killed me with curiosity. Well, I'd kill to be in Bridget's shoes that morning *cough* Anyway, are you planning to release more excerpts prior to the book's release? Oh and one more thing about the latest excerpt, such an interesting introduction to Duke of Kyle's background. Now I'm even more intrigued to read his & Alf's story!

Ms Hoyt, I was just wondering what was going to happen ... after Maiden Lane? (forever known as AML) Aside from the fact that I will be an emotional wreck and that a significant chapter in my life will come to a close, is there anything planed for after AML (it genuinely makes me very upset thinking about this)? PS how old is Hugh? Also THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING A GREAT AUTHOR, YOU HAVE BEEN A HUGE PART OF MY LIFE!
