Goodreads asked Linda Holeman:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Linda Holeman I never actually get "blocked" - I can always write something - but I do experience frustration when I'm not happy with the unfolding work. I deal with this by taking some time from my desk and letting my mind calm down; often when I go back after a few hours or even a few days it seems as if the solution is right there. During the time away from the work I read inspiring books - for me it's often writers' memoirs. Reading about the lives of other writers makes me feel less alone in my anxiety over my own writing, and I often find one very wise line that gives me a new perspective on what I'm trying to achieve.
