You didn’t miss anything, the author was too bored of her own boring book to write an ending for any of the boring characters.

You missed nothing....there was several gaps in the story. It looked like both Adele and Jude would end up homeless - unless they drowned...hardly a model for independent women, both dependent on other people to supplement their lifestyles.

No, you didn't miss anything. We are left hanging about Adele. The author gives us clues about the end for Wendy--still a pretty good life ahead, with another book under her belt. Jude just goes back to "her" and Daniel's apartment to see what happens next. Adele just seems happy to have her friends back.
