You do get some hints (or just outward acknowledgment) of characters being gay, bi, lesbian, queer, etc. Things regarding sexuality. Not so much gender, but the way that different sexualities are portrayed is heartwarming. The author makes it feel like LGBTQ+ relationships are always a normal part of society. It's hard to explain (well, I am having difficulty explaining it. The dynamic is easy to understand), but my best attempt would be "All sexualities are normal, and treated/mentioned as such,". 10/10 recommend :D(less)
