This question contains spoilers…
(view spoiler)[I'm loving this series so far, but the second book left many open questions...
What is happening to the Solace and can it be fixed? Why Grand Duchess Aife is mad about Briantine's "The Lady of Oaks"? Who are the Hundred Knights and where did they come from?
Will these questions be answered in Soulstar? (hide spoiler)]

First of all may I express my delight that this sparked your imagination?
Secondly I might owe your curiosity an apology. There are answers to your questions, but they are truly deep lore involving the history of the Solace and are tightly wound up with the Amaranthines. When I had originally dreamed this story up the Amaranthines and the Solace had their own things going on and I had thought that I was going to finish the series in the Solace itself, but when it came to the actual work of writing and structuring a trilogy, I had to regretfully let that idea go.
the things you picked up are all connected to the Amaranthine side of the story, and I really want to drag you all along for a high fantasy epic set there...somehow!

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed Witchmark. It was mentioned on one of my reading sites on FB and I ordered it from my library not knowing much about it. It drew me in from the very beginning and I loved every minute of it. Thank you so much from southern Vancouver Island! Love southern Alberta, honeymooned camping in Cypress Hills Park loooong ago. Have you been there?

The Midnight Bargain was a delightful riot to read. Will you be writing another book in this series?
