I used to wonder this myself. Then I found the Magic Spreadsheet and wed myself to the concept of writing every damn day, inspired or not. Amazing how much inspiration can be won through the practice of expecting it to be there (and when you write every day, you are telling your brain, "You are required to come up with awesome shit. Here I am. Where are you?")
