What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Patrick D. Quinn Write. Sit down and write. Most of it will be utter garbage but after time and practice, you will start to feel more comfortable and start producing works that you are proud of. Keep your expectations realistic as well; you're not going to be writing a Nebula award-winning novel on your first try. Most importantly, write what you enjoy. If you aren't enjoying what you are writing, then you probably shouldn't be writing it.
