Penelope Swan
Penelope Swan asked Nick Ward:

Did you ever meet Lisa Matthews? Fastest Woman on Water for ten years. She lives in Sarasota, Florida. She almost bought it, sailing, too.

Nick Ward Sadly not, though I know of her story. The sea takes no prisoners!
I have many friends in the USA, with whom I stay in touch. And so her story is known to me.
I really must get a website up & running!
With my first book , LFD, Bloomsbury took me under their wing and, truly I was amazed at the response to the book. I did many many lectures.... talks on safety at sea, as result of it.
1979s’ Fastnet was a milestone in yacht racing history... and I’ve tried my best to champion the safety factor in any form of water sport. (Any profit from the talks went to my allotted charity ... the Wessex Neurological Unit.... who saved my life (brain surgery) years ago.
My aim for ‘Delivery by Sea’ is to dispel some of the myth & stigma surrounding epilepsy... something I’ve ‘suffered’ as result of the op.

So sorry to go on about it!
I’m multitasking atm!
Speaking to my son in Australia, whilst trying to eat lunch
And this reply!

Thank you Penelope so much, for replying.
Onward & Upward eh?
Stay safe.
Nick.
