What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Vivian Blake Write what you want to write. Don't try to make yourself fit into a specific place. You can't push creativity like that, it won't be any good and you will regret it.
Also, take time away if you need it. You don't have to write everyday to be a writer. Sometimes you need space away from it to get where you need to go.
I also find that recording your stories and playing them back for yourself, is very helpful for catching mistakes and listening to how dialogue sounds out loud. Trust me, it's worth the time it takes.
