Goodreads asked Panda B. Jensen Anderson:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Panda B. Jensen Anderson I quite simply, either, abandon that story for another time, or I leave it for a bit and come back when the block is gone.

I'll listen to some music, maybe take a walk... or just spend time with my kid, but I find the blocks go away if I stop focusing on them.
Don't think about the block, or what you're currently writitng.

Sometimes, I'll simply just write a short poem, or look for a prompt and bash something out. Sometimes writing feelings or emotions down helps. Just write something else until you feel able to focus on your main project.

Side projects are great for helping distract you. Even if they don't amount to anything but a good joke for you to tell later on.
