Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Glen Apseloff My most recent book is THE CHIPMUNK BOOK, and it's being published in the next few days. The idea for it evolved over time, but it began when I saw chipmunks eating food that I put out for the birds. People complain about squirrels and chipmunks eating bird food, but I always figured that they have as much right to it as the birds, and I decided to create something that might help people appreciate these animals instead of considering them pests.
