I absolutely adored The Chilbury Ladies' Choir. I love stories about how ordinary civilians coped during the Second World War and this book with all its different voices filled this brief perfectly. Now I just want to know what happened to Venetia and Alistair/John and did Silvy and Kitty go in search of the lost parents and brother? Please, Jennifer Ryan, write us a sequel!

Thank you so much, Helen. I loved writing it, and those brave, spirited characters are still with me. I would love to write a sequel, and hope to do so soon. My new book is also set in WW2, it's about a cooking contest and it's called THE KITCHEN FRONT. I hope you enjoy that one, too.

Hi Jennifer, Thank you for answering so many questions! I also really enjoyed your book The Chilbury Ladies' Choir. My favourite characters are Edwina Paltry and her sister Clara. Could you tell us how you got the idea for Edwina and what or who inspired her personality? It would also be nice to learn more about Edwina's back story...maybe in a future book? Thanks.

You are a blessing. I just finished The Chilbury Ladies' Choir and sent a dear English friend a copy also. I hated to see this book end. I feel as though every single character has taken up residence in my heart. I can't thank you enough for the way you presented the subject matter.
