Chase Miller
Chase Miller asked Mark Lawrence:

Hello again. I'm curious to ask if you've ever hit a road block while you wrote. Or hit a particular creative stump where you have a vision that you swear to yourself is genius, yet once you put it to paper, you can never seem to get it to click just right? How do you deal with stumps? Do you have a peer assist you? Force through it to save yourself from your editor's quips? Onanism?

Mark Lawrence Very rarely. On the few occasions it's been when implementing a more complicated, unusual, &/or "out there" idea in a non-standard setting. And what I tend to do is sprawl. Imagine a river suddenly blocked by a boulder or landslide. My story tends to spread out in all directions until it finds a way past.
