There isn't any apart from the author. And I hope the author doesn't get flack for it since they're totally within their right to create stories either with or without based on what they feel the story calls for and how the characters speak to them.

I just finished the ARC and I didn't spot any. I got excited when Wendy was unmoved by the very fit shirtless young men on her swim team, but nothing came of that. Maybe folks simply made an assumption based on Thomas' last novel?

I'm almost done with the book, and I don't think there is any LGBT themes... unless I completely spaced and missed it... But, people probably added it to LGBT lists because of their previous books. I don't think the author has anything to do with those labels on GR.

There aren't any LGBT+ relationships etc. in the book itself, however, I believe the author is part of the community. So that is probably why it's shelved there. LGBT+ author but not an LGBT+ book. Hope that helps!

In addition to the author, I think the LGBT+ status could be from mentions of Lost Kids or Lost Ones, but never "Lost Boys" in the book.

I haven't read the book yet but there's representation with the author themself. The author's website states: As a queer, trans Latinx, Aiden advocates strongly for diverse representation in all media.
