No rape. There is a domestic violence scene, briefly described, but referenced fairly frequently, and allusion to historical abuse.
The other thing is that a main, viewpoint character is vocationally a torturer, and there are many scenes where he plies his trade. The descriptions are not particularly graphic, but do get into the mechanics of it.
There's also an unpleasant execution, and some pretty horrific battle scenes, but I don't think they fall into what you're trying to prepare for here.
