The book is about the rotten patriarchy - that 'conspiracy' at the heart of sexual predation - rather than one big, fat ugly jerk who abused everyone he ever met (except Meryl Steep- go figure).

Yeah, absolutely - very little of this has to do with Hollywood (besides Weinstein’s career), and more to do with the culture around powerful men in general. Reads like a true-crime novel, but nonfiction.
