What do you think the sub genre is for "scientific fiction"? This is my favorite subject to write about. I like the challenge of opening an obscure or difficult subject and make it educational and interesting by making it entertaining. I've covered genetics, asteroids, AI, bubonic plague, chirality, DNA, I love it.

To me, that sounds like technothriller, i.e. the stuff that Michael Crichton wrote.
