Mathew Lambert
Mathew Lambert asked Mark Lawrence:

As a father to an autistic child, when I was reading Nona's PoVs I got the distinct impression that Nona had autistic characteristics. Is this something you would agree with, had in mind when writing her, or became aware of after? I'm not saying she is autistic but some of her behaviours seemed relatable in that respect.

Mark Lawrence I'll have to leave those sort of opinions to the readers. It's easier and more effective to write people rather than conditions. Additionally, avoiding such labels from the author side has the benefit of substantially cutting down the number of people who want to tell you that you got it wrong.

I do think it's good to have a broad spectrum of human experience reflected in our stories.

I hope you enjoyed the books! Happy New Year :)
