Its a stand alone series...but I still recommend Virgin River....its a wonderful cant put down series....and you will love it!!!

They refer to a character in Virgin River, but it's so minor that you definitely don't need to read that series first. :)

Most of the Thunder Point books can be read as stand alone books.

If you ever want to read the Virgin Valley series there is Grace Valley (3 books) before that. They are as easily connected as Virgin Valley and Thunder Point.
