I saw an ad on FB for your new book, "Apricots" and i am now following you on FB and GR. Historical Fiction is my favorite genre but i read a variety of F & NF books. What historical fiction writers have YOU enjoyed over the years? My living favorites are: Ken Follett & Philippa Gregory. Among my favorite dead authors: Norah Lofts, Anya Seton, and Margaret Frazer (convent mystery series, 15th cent. England).

Thanks for the question. Anya Seton was great, and I plowed through all of Jean Plaidy when I was younger. These days I count Emma Donoghue as my absolute favorite, and also love Margaret George and recently really enjoyed the Hilary Mantel trilogy and her earlier stuff. I haven't read any Margaret Frazer - I'll check her out.
