I wonder why you chose to "censor" profanity in the Ruins series. I'm listening to book 2, having finished book 1. Every time I hear "spick" I cringe. Were you aiming for the juvenile audience? Surely not. Anyway, although it's a distraction, I love the series and will continue to the end. BTW, your other series with Christopher, Resonant Son, is an absolute blast! I look forward to the next book!

J.N. Chaney Hey there, B. Ruins is cowritten with a former Pastor (Christopher Hopper) and he requested that we refrain from profanity. To respect his wishes, we avoided it. If you want something a bit more vulgar, try Wayward Galaxy or Renegade Star. I go all out in those!

I am cleaning up the chronological order here on the goodreads listing of the Renegade Star Universe and would like to know if it is possible to know or have a more accurate timeline for some of the series? For example mostly when it comes the Renegade Star book 12and onwards versus the Fifth Column books. Not sure what order to put these two as they seem to be happening at the same time ish.
