Do I need to read the rest of the series before reading this book? Maybe better put, will I enjoy this book more if I know the characters from the other books ahead of time?

What I did do was review the blurbs from the other books to get an idea who some of the characters were from the other books. Since I am currently reading a couple of book series from other authors, I did not want to add this one too. So, I did enjoy this as a "stand alone" anyway.(less)
