Do I need to read the rest of the series before reading this book? Maybe better put, will I enjoy this book more if I know the characters from the other books ahead of time?

In this book Lucy does her best to include all the main characters from the series which (no secret) will tease you to go back and discover their books. What's unusual about this book is it was originally a short story or a novella that was written before Layla one of our heroines BFF's found love in the series last book.(less)
