Amelia
Amelia asked Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch:

How did you come up with the great idea for stolen girl war below and making bombs for hitler?

Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch Hi Amelia, my mother in law was a Ukrainian kid in WWII and she lost half of her classmates to the Lebensborn program -- ie -- where the Nazis kidnapped fair-haired blue-eyed kids and brainwashed them into thinking they were German. She told me a lot of things that ended up in Stolen Girl. I also did a lot of research. The idea of Stolen Girl and Making Bombs came sort of at the same time because I asked myself: what would happen if two sisters were kidnapped together and one was deemed racially valuable by the Nazis and the other was deemed a not racially valuable human being? Answering that question by doing research is what inspired me to write these books.
