You have been able to look at some of your childhood experiences as happening for you not to you. Also, you are able to see them through a lense of love. How were you able to avoid the victim mentality like many with similar experiences?

By judging the deed but not the offender. By damning the harmful message I received, but not letting the it define me. By discerning that certain hardships that, after they happened to me, were inevitable, I had the choice to get relative with how I saw them and let them affect who I was. In many of these circumstances, I saw the only constructive way forward was to admit I was a victim, but not be victimized by their doing.

My question is, in the book you talk about stops and stays on your life journey. With the stops, did you know these were stops rather than stays at the time you were living them or just at the time when you were choosing to move on? Thanks so much!
