Goodreads asked Ed Gosney:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Ed Gosney I think this is often a choice more than anything else. If you say you have writer's block, it gives you an excuse to not write. Granted, sometimes what you want to say or present on a page just don't come to you with the clarity that is sometimes there, but just write the scene the best way you can. Later you can change it, especially during the editing stage.
