How bad is the "fan service"? I'm interested in the series but I've heard that the characters are sexualized sometimes and that tends to leave me feeling creeped out

Adam Bogert I found it pretty distracting in the first half of the book -- like, it was blatant enough that it drew attention to itself. In addition to a lot of erotic angles early on, there's (small spoiler) one chapter that focuses on a monster inappropriately groping a student (though presumably this is not actually felt or noticed by anyone, including the oblivious student).
