Just finished "Mistress of the Ritz." Couldn't put it down. I am quite well-read regarding WW2 and the French resistance. I recall reading snippets about this hotel. What NF books would you recommend to fill in historical details about this topic?

I first read about Claude and Blanche and the Ritz in a nonfiction book called "Hotel on Place Vendome" by Tilar Mazeo. That's really the best research book for this particular setting.

I just finished reading SWANS OF FIFTH AVENUE, and loved the book. In your author's note you explain that while all conversations are imagined, the timeline is faithful. Babe Paley passed away in 1978. At the luncheon following her funeral, C.Z. Guest refers to her husband, Winston as being deceased. Did you know he actually died in 1982?
