Besides re-reading the Tearling trilogy, of course, do you have any other fantasy book recommendations while we're waiting to read Beneath the Keep?

Hi Becky. I make it a practice to recommend Frank Herbert's Dune to any fantasy fan who hasn't read it; it's my hands-down favorite, and I enjoyed the first two sequels as well. My husband has just introduced me to Robin Hobb and now I'm tearing through The Assassin's Apprentice and can already tell I will need to read her entire catalogue. In more recent literature, I also recommend Helene Wecker's The Golem and the Jinni and Samantha Shannon's The Priory of the Orange Tree.

Hi Erika, just wanted to say I first picked up the Tearling on 2014 and have been hooked ever since. I saw your comment about BTK not being as popular as the trilogy and I cannot for the life of me understand why! BTK is even better than the original trilogy in my opinion; it was by far the very best book I read in 2022. When you wrote the original books, did you already have BTK's backstory in mind? Thank you!
