Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Brendan Conboy The idea for my latest novel, The Invasion of the Mimics, came from watching the snow falling heavily in 2018. It was so spectacular that I quickly filmed it. Then as I watched it back, my imagination came alive with the concept that this was no ordinary snow. That each snowflake had been chemically altered to carry an alien consciousness within. Just one innocent-looking flake landing on bare skin could lead to a person being transformed. As a teen / young adult writer, I also instantly knew that young people would be immune to the whole process and that they would ultimately become the heroes, saving mankind from THE MIMICS.
