Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Candice Jalili The concept of my book really is so simple: for the right person, being yourself is going to be more than enough. That's it! That's the book. In my opinion, it's such a simple and liberating truth, and yet there are no prominent dating books out there that remind us of this. Instead, time and time again, women are force-fed different versions of the same toxic "do THIS to get the guy" narrative. Implicit in that message is the idea that we aren't worthy of love exactly as we are. So, of course, we're going to get insecure. Of course, we're going to get anxious. We're being told over and over again that love is a prize we can't win unless we shrink ourselves down to fit someone else's idea of perfection. I wrote this book to change that narrative.
