Congratulations on the release of the german edition of "Shadowblack"! I'm a bookseller and I recommended Spellslinger to every young reader who likes magic, action and wit. Within weeks the parents got hooked as well and preordered Shadowblack haha. I take it that the sales are going well? Also, the authors information of the german edition states that you are currently living in the Netherlands. Is that accurate?

Thanks so much for the kind words and for introducing your customers to Spellslinger, Selina! My German publishers haven't updated me recently on how sales are going with the series, but hopefully readers are enjoying the first two books. I was indeed living in the Netherlands when I wrote Shadowblack, but I'm back in Canada now. Hopefully once the pandemic is under control I'll be able to travel again as I miss the Netherlands and all of Europe!

I was searching endlessly for a series of books that hit all the sweet spots… I am currently on book 4 of The Greatcoats series and I am really going to miss them. Do you plan on continuing the series or what do you recommend reading next from your books? I plan on reading everything you have written, what a gift you have!

This isn't even a question, so I'm sorry if that annoys you, but I wanted to say I think your books are amazing. I just finished Knight's Shadow (literally just finished - what, a minute ago?) and it was incredible. I love the complexity and differing shades of morality and all of the different characters. I don't have much more to say (I'm not particularly eloquent when sending stuff to amazing authors apparently).

Greatcoats is quickly becoming one of my favorite series, and the characters are also some of my favorite! I am currently halfway through Knight's Shadow, at the part where Falcio meets Ethalia again, but I just can't seem to wrap my head around their romance. Where did it stem from, and why do they have such strong feelings for each other, despite only spending one night together?
