Kat asked Andrew Rowe:

Hello! I love your writing and I'm super excited for Wrynn Jaden's book, I think she's a really cool character and I'm excited to see what you do with her backstory :) My question is, how different are the types of magic used in the different continents really? I know there's sorcery, attunements, and spirit arts, are they all the same kinds of magic but in different formats? Or are they all unique to their regions?

Andrew Rowe Wrynn's style of magic (spirit arts) functions very differently than the ones you've seen in other books so far.

It still has ties to the same foundations as the other magic systems, and you could say that there's still a "meta" magic system that ties them all together (similar to how Sanderson's cosmere systems are all tied together), but spirit arts function differently enough that I think they'll feel pretty distinct to readers.
