Dear Catherine, I just read your book, Seven Perfect Things through NetGalley. I'm in the middle of reading 3 very intense, dense books about COVID, the Spanish Flu and the history of plagues. Wow. Covid, the Spanish Flu and the history of plagues. Just about anything would be lighter! But in all seriousness, I'm glad SEVEN could be the palate cleanser you needed. And of course I just love it when a reader says they discovered the first one of my books and have noticed there are more. Ms. Hyde, I have really enjoyed reading your books. Thank you for writing them. Recently I finished Take Me With You, and I found it quite moving and extremely well written. Did you travel through/around all the places that August and the kids went to in order to write such vivid descriptions? And just in general, how do you draw your inspiration for books like this one?
