A collection of "short" stories about an interstellar band of pilgrims--wizards and warriors, led by an Oracle--who claim they never lose, never quit no matter what foe they face, called the Pererin (Welsh for pilgrim). These stories interlock, adding new heroes who become involved in their adventures. Charles deLint has always been a writing hero of mine, and I love his collections of short stories.
