My favorite part of writing is the beginning. Before I actually start writing. Brainstorming plot, fleshing out characters, journaling ideas. Most of this is discarded or not used or changed drastically during the writing process, but this stage is just so much fun. Anything is possible. At about ten thousand words, things get real and the hard work starts. That's my least favorite part.
