I think inspiration is everywhere. There are so many stories and situations, all around us. Pick up a newspaper any day and you'll find all sorts of stories and potential ideas. What counts are being tuned into them, and also being willing to work with an idea. In some ways the idea isn't enough. What counts are the long hours of writing, turning that little spark into something that really works. After a while, you tune into being creative, and seeing how you can use ideas for poems, or stories, or whatever. Regular writing helps a lot. It gets you into a mindset.
