Goodreads asked Alex Grass:

How do you get inspired to write?

Alex Grass I don't. Waiting for inspiration is...questionable. It's like anything else, you don't wait. You just do the work. If that means that you end up sitting in front of your word processor continually banging out on the keys--I AM A PRETTY PRINCESS THAT WANTS TO KISS A FROG; ONE DAY I WILL BE THE BIGGEST ELEPHANT ON THE STEPPE; LOOK AT ME, I AM A HUMAN FART!--that's okay.

Usually, inspiration comes when I'm already working and I'm nice and warmed up. Other times, I'm just ripping off Stephen King or Rick & Morty.
