I'm confused about the order of the tetralogy. LD is the 3rd book, Streets of Loredo (LD #2) is the 4th book, Dead Man's Walk (LD #3) is the 1st book, and Comanche Moon (LD #4) is the 2nd book. Should they be read in LD #1 - LD #4 order? Or book 1 - book 4 order? Or does it matter?

I believe that would align better with his thought pattern at the time of writing so this should (or might) create some symmetry between the writing and reading of them. I have only finished LD and S of L. Starting Dead Man's Walk today. so far happy to have read LD and then S of L first, but time will tell if I reconsider when I complete the last two books. Of course, this is simply my humble opinion. I'll report back in a couple of weeks when completed the last two books and advise if my mind has changed. (less)
