Dear Stuart Gibbs, I love your books, and I was lucky enough to meet you and get a couple of books signed. Some of my favorite books are Evil Spy School, Spy Ski School, Spy School British Invasion, Spy School at Sea, and Spy School goes North. If you couldn't tell, it is VERY hard to pick one. I have a question, why did you choose to have Mike get recruited into Spy School?

How do you come up with the ideas and clues in your "Spy School" and "Charlie Thorne and The Last Equation" books? Also, do you write an outline for your books? I know that some authors, like Stephen King, dislike outlines. It varies from author to author. What's your opinion on outlines?
