I have almost all of your books, loved every one of them. I have two questions: One, will there be any books talking about life of Emperor Lorn, after he becomes Emperor? And I loved all the hinting about the emperor before him, that he was supposed to be an example of a former magus/lancer that became emperor, I would love to hear more about him. Thank you.

L.E. Modesitt Jr. At the moment, I don't know what the next Recluce book will be, since I'm currently working on a new fantasy series, tentatively entitled "The Grand Illusion," the first book of which is "Isolate," scheduled for a November 2021 release. I use the word "tentative" because until something's actually published name changes are always possible.

The earlier mage/lancer emperor was Aliaykal, and there actually is a story [The Forest Girl] about him in Recluce Tales.

I do plan to write more Recluce novels, but not until I have done more work on the books of The Grand Illusion.

One thing that captured me with your writing was how you always seem to respect the reader to draw the conclusions with the characters, based on the evidence present. Is this something you deliberately plan, and do you ever feel that you should be spelling the conclusions out for the reader?

More a thanks than a question . We were camping/fishing at mammoth creek ? And can't remember exactly where but saw you at a locale business in the cedar city area maybe over Panguitch way . pointed you out to my boy and nephews as they being around 10'ish had been listening to me read them your book The Magic of Recluce . they decided to interrupt you and say Howdy surprisingly you took time with them thanks.
